X Factor's Katie Waissel delivers empowering speech as she shows off weight loss

Katie Waissel delivered an empowering speech as she showed off her weight loss results.

The X Factor singer turned fitness trainer was inspired by her baby son Hudson, born in July last year, to completely overhaul her lifestyle.

And she says she couldn’t be happier with the results.

Katie, 34, demonstrated her hard work with startling before and after pictures that showed not only a change in her body, but also her inner strength and happiness.

In her after shot, Katie displays her toned torso in a tiny black bikini as she confidently looks into the lens.

Posting the pictures on Instagram, she wrote: “S U M M E R ‘1 9 – S U M M E R ‘ 2 0 – I would be so grateful if you stopped to read what this post T R U E L Y means from a strength and goal perspective.

“Last summer, I was fresh off the boat from an international move, a first time mum, & in the next chapter of rebuilding my life as a single parent & career change.It was this picture that sparked a huge change within me.

“Everything from the frowned facial expression, hair loss, exhaustion, and yes lastly my body shape that i wasn’t used to nor recognized. I looked at myself in the mirror & cried. Not because I was horrified,but because I didn’t know how I would find the strength or time to do anything to make a positive change. B U T I did!

“I made a promise to my son Hudson that I would do anything possible to rebuild my physical strength to not only play chase, football, throw him up in the air as he laughs, but to also make sure he is protected always as it is just him and I.”

She added: “A year on, I can’t believe how my entire being has changed. Taking care of yourself from the inside out is so imperative!From taking the right multivitamins (I take one with a higher iron content) to fueling your body with the right nutrition,creating the right mindset,allowing yourself to feel all the feels (you don’t have to be positive all of the time!)

“I was able to, and still continue to, rebuild the best version of myself for my little one! The first thing I tell my clients is ‘There is no expiration date on a lifestyle change’ & this is what I want to share with you.

“We are A L L a constant work in progress, & as long as our intentions are honest and pure,then the rest will follow….. I know that summer time is here again, & we have the ‘summer body’ message thrown in our faces, but take from this that there are so many summers ahead, & winters & springs & falls!
